Winter is a photogenic bitch.

Today I went for a walk. It was quite nice and unlike the last walk I went on I didn't get completely and hopelessly lost. The purpose of this walk was really because I had naff all else to do, likewise the purpose of this blog is because I still have naff all else to do. If you're in a similar situation right now you might find this interesting, if not I apologise for wasting your valuable time.

One of the best things about leaving the house is that the outdoors is really quite attractive. Especially in winter. Trees form interesting shapes, the sky is a pretty colour and frost makes otherwise dull leaves look like they've been painted by fairies. As happy as I am with my writing and as much as I do enjoy talking about crap, I feel these particular things would be better described with pictures so I took a few to make your experience a whole lot more visually enjoyable.

This first picture is of some electricity. Normally electricity looks boring or ugly but this particular pylon actually grew out of those trees and is just the way God intended. Ah, nature.

Speaking of trees, these ones look like the sort you get at Christmas but they're here all year round. Also they're massive and would be completely impractical in your living room. If you need a Christmas tree I would recommend you go to a supermarket as they have a much more sensible range to choose from.

If fairies didn't pain these leaves then how the hell else did they get like this? I stepped on them after I took this photo and they made a highly satisfying crunch. Alas it also ruined any photo opportunity for anybody else but hey, I'm not a charity.

The lake looked so blue you wanted to jump in it and soak up all the wonder. Unfortunately someone got so excited by that idea that they did jump in and the sub-zero temperatures killed them instantly. I cropped the body out of this picture.

I've no idea what this is but it didn't really fit in with any of the surrounding so I can only assume it was left there by the people who first made the earth. It's probably part of a massive wire frame like you get in papier mache. Bit careless to just leave it lying around, really.

Here are some sheep. I politely asked them if they wouldn't mind me taking their photograph and they all ran off to form this quite nicely framed image which was handy. Little did they know that just hours earlier I'd been in a shop buying one of their kids to have for dinner tonight. I think I'll have it with chips.

This is the sheep queuing up to have their portrait taken. I didn't do any in the end because they all looked the same and I said they could just Google 'sheep' and they'd likely find an image that would do the job just fine.

The sun was quite camera shy today and kept trying to run away but I chased it and caught it cowering naively behind these trees. Ha!

Later on I didn't even want a picture of the sun but it had clearly got so full of itself that it was just invading every photograph I took. In a sulk I packed up my camera and came home because I don't deal with bullies and that is obviously what the massive shiny thing in the sky is.

In short, winter is a really photogenic bitch and you should all go out and enjoy it instead of spending all your time inside reading shit like this.
