Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to you in regards,
of working for you and your business,
in the hope my words can take you far.
Let me tell you, then,
why I think I should be hired;
I've got all the skills and experience,
to provide the results that are desired.
I'll tell you where I've been,
what I've done throughout my past,
then maybe you'll say yes,
so I can afford the rent at last.
Currently I am freelance,
a pen for hire at will,
copywriting, social media,
whatever fits the bill.
Before that I worked in London,
a northerner lost down south,
I was a community manager for an ad agency,
acting as their clients' social mouth.
Foster's, Strongbow and Vimto,
three drinks were my main jobs,
Creating social media content,
and gathering in the likes, a lot.
Previously I was at a museum,
Lincolnshire's number one.
Running their blog and social media,
Ensuring their communities got along.
Their online hits grew massively,
I got to see lots of shows,
I learnt such a lot and they were all great,
got me a card when it was my time to go.
Back prior to that I worked in design,
as a copywriter learning my trade,
Writing for lots of websites and leaflets,
and once for a sign on a police car we made.
I've also ran a blog,
and wrote for a magazine in sync.
Attracting lots of readers, nominated for awards,
The free meals were nice even if I didn't win.
So I hope you can see I've got previous,
and you'll consider taking me on.
I've got a masters degree in creative writing,
and a lovely fringe, you can't go wrong.
