Let's see if Rory's Story Cubes are psychic.

Today has been a roller-coaster. This is the first spare time I've had to sit down and type but unfortunately my mind is still off doing other things so I'm going to need some help. I give you Rory's Story Cubes. I got given them for Christmas a couple of years ago and I use them to make every day life decisions which is fun and full of exciting risks. I like risks. If you don't know what they are then you're living in a mad world and I don't have the patience to deal with your type. But basically they look like this:

You roll them, they bring up a different pictures and you use them to inspire your distracted mind to greatness.

Today I am not using them for greatness, I am using them to see if they can mirror the events of my recent life. I reckon they can because I'm going to make them to stretch out this blog post.

Dice 1.
An alien. I can make that fit in today. I graduated from my MA today and now I'm in an alien new world of not having a clue what to do with my immediate future. Would anyone like to go for coffee? Should I buy a cat? Oh God please someone help me.

Dice 2.
You know those theatre masks that look happy and sad? It's that. Again these dice have proven their mystical powers. I was happy to graduate because yay, certificates. But also really quite sad because no-one wanted to come to the pub with me afterwards and I ended up drinking myself into writing this.

Dice 3.
Am I really someone who knows anything about social media or am I actually just a wistful writer hiding in a costume because no-one will pay me much money for my words? Yes, the picture is a sheep. Obvious connection that if you can't see it's your own fault.

Dice 4.
It is a map of the world. Today I spoke to an American girl.

Dice 5.
This MA could unlock my future or it could just lock up my bank account using a metaphorical key which, metaphorically, is like the real key this dice pictures.

Dice 6.
This morning I couldn't find the tie I wanted to wear but in the end I did and I looked amazing. Fortunately I didn't need a magnifying glass but it's good to know I got one in a Christmas cracker in case the situation got serious.

Dice 7.
Didn't need a magnifying glass, I just used my eyes. It's eyes. The picture is eyes.

Dice 8.
Why am I writing this at 12:15am? No-one will read this and you'll all just assume I've gotten lazy won't you? How do I know it's 12:15am? Because of CLOCKS.

Dice 9.
Earlier on I told someone they could count on me but for a more accurate result they should use a calculator. We all laughed (I laughed) but for a good few seconds I was thinking of replacing the word 'calculator' with the word 'abacus'. That would have been handy for this exact moment.

To summarise, yes, Rory's Story Cubes are psychic. I will be in a tent at the park charging £5 entry if you need me.
